Nomination Guidelines

If you'd like to nominate a group please follow the guidelines below.  Its a great way to learn about local projects/groups, and a great way to spearhead the group's giving.  WIN WIN!!

You can find a nomination form under the "More" tab.

Every member of the 100 Warmland Women Who Care group is entitled to have one nomination in play all the time. If  your nominations is awarded - you can put in a different one. If you decide at any time that you'd like to change your nomination - you are able to do that whenever you want.  The change may be made up to one week before a meeting.

-Nominations must be local (not national /international groups) ie. the money must stay in the valley.

- Nominees need to have charitable status and be able to provide  tax receipts.  If you know of a great group that can't do this - talk to us and we'll see if there is a work around.

-Geographic catchment area is the Cowichan Valley  - south to Spectacle Lake,   north to Saltair.  Anything in between that is the valley but NOT Lake Cowichan as they have their own group.

- We help groups of people/animals, agencies - not individuals or single families

-Groups can be awarded and then have to wait for a full 3 years before they can be nominated again.

- 1 person from the nominated group may come and present  - or a member can present, or if you provide the write up - a member of your choice can read it for you.

-Time limit for presentation is 5 minutes - if we have time we can ask the presenter questions - also time limited to 5-10 minutes - we'll have to try it out.

-Presentations are to be spoken only- no video etc.   ( If you want to sing it - go for it)
